What We Do

At Anderson Farms we sell feed for wildlife and livestock.  We make some products ourselves and are distributors for others but our specialty is corn.

There are a lot of companies that put corn in bags but that is about all they do with it, especially for the deer market.  We at Anderson Farms are hunters ourselves.  In fact being hunters is why we got in the corn bagging business in the first place.  We got tired of buying dirty, low quality clean out and rejects and decided to do something about it.  We knew that hunters cared about the diet and health of the deer just as much as a rancher does his livestock.  We could also see that spin feeders and dirty corn were a bad combination.  We were buying dirt, sticks and bugs along with low grade corn.  There is nothing worse than finding a stick on Saturday that got stuck in your spin feeder last Monday.

Falling CornBeing farmers first, we knew how and where to get the best corn.  Any corn that is not grown on our own land under our control is brought in from the best farmers in the area that are personally known by us and have their own grain handling facilities.  We don’t use seconds, bottom of the bin clean out, or corn with Aflatoxin.  All corn is dried to the correct moisture level then cooled to the ambient nighttime temperature.  After going through our three step cleaning process it is placed in breathable paper bags.  All of this is key to safeguard against sweating and mold during storage.

Weighing is done on the finest electronic scales available, and they are checked and Certified by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry.

When buying corn always check the weight posted on the bag.  At Anderson Farms we don’t reduce our bag weights to make our price look better.  We offer honest weights on a quality product that can be fed to your deer herd or best livestock.

Proverbs 16:11 (NIV)

“Honest scales and balances belong to the Lord:

All the weights in the bag are of His making”.
